Bengaluru police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against BJP MLA Basanagowda Patil Yatnal for allegedly making derogatory remarks about health and family welfare minister Dinesh Gundu Rao’s family. The MLA’s comments, reportedly targeting Rao’s wife Tabassum, prompted her to demand an apology and seek intervention from the Election Commissioner.
