One of the greatest insights I got in my investing career so far was from a very successful investor with more than 30+ years in the market, he said, “if you’re interested in a co’, don’t just look at that co, look at the entire god damn sector”.
I thought it was a little hardcore to be honest, who has the time after all but as I slowly started following his advice my insight generation improved massively. Infact, most times you start looking at your “idea” only to find better ones as you analyse all other comparable companies.
To that effect I compiled some stats for ALL the 20 Listed players in the country.
