Karnataka Lok Sabha Election 2024: A case has been filed against Tejasvi Surya, BJP MP and Bangalore South candidate, for allegedly seeking votes based on religion. The Election Commission announced this on Friday. Surya is contesting against Sowmya Reddy, Congress candidate and daughter of Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy. Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer stated that the case was registered at Jayanagar police station in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, five complaints were lodged with the Election Commission, including one against CM Siddaramaiah for speaking to workers inside a polling booth in Mysuru.
