Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge addressed concerns raised by a Maharashtra Congress leader, Naseem Khan, regarding the party not fielding any Muslim candidates in the state for the Lok Sabha polls. Kharge explained that decisions regarding candidate selection in Maharashtra were made collectively by the three-party alliance, which includes the Congress, Shiv Sena, and NCP. Kharge assured that Khan’s concerns would be addressed, hinting at compensation in the upcoming Rajya Sabha and assembly elections in Maharashtra.
