Election authorities in Kashmir have filed an FIR against former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct by holding a protest sit-in, resulting in a Section 144 violation. Mufti criticised the FIR and claimed it was in response to her party’s opposition to government actions. The protest occurred during polling for the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary seat.
