Interacted with the management in Recent Chemical EXpo in Mumbia… The caustic soda industry is suffering big time due to oversupply in the domestic market coupled with dumping from China.
Management believes the Q4 increase in caustic soda was a short-term phenomenon (unlike interpreted by other management & investors) & recovery will take a decent time.
The company is a deep value buy as of now with its balance sheet also being in decent condition, however, owing to the lack of any improvement in the caustic soda industry in the near term, it remains a watchlist stock just like other cheap caustic soda focused companies like DCW Ltd.
