My 2 cents on long term prospects of liquor industry:
- Heavily political. There is no national policy and is heavily reliant on local government. Hence one brand can’t be a national brand for long term unless it has something unique.
- There are some niche brands like one manufactured by Rampur Distilleries but they are not mass product.
- They have to compete for Raw material.
- Pricing not in their hands.
