In the Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha elections, 89 out of 100 candidates lost their security deposits, indicating a decisive voter mandate. Independent Sheikh Abdul Rashid won in Baramulla, while major winners included Aga Roohullah Mehdi and BJP’s Jugal Kishore. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s party struggled, with none of its candidates saving their deposits. Only Mehbooba Mufti succeeded among seven women candidates.
