Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar confirmed that Devendra Fadnavis’ offer to resign as deputy chief minister due to BJP’s poor performance in the state was not discussed at the NDA meeting in Delhi. Key allies TDP’s N Chandrababu Naidu and JD(U)’s Nitish Kumar endorsed PM Narendra Modi as the NDA leader. Pawar stated that Fadnavis’ resignation is an internal BJP matter, following BJP’s reduced seat tally in Maharashtra and Fadnavis’ announcement to focus on organisational roles ahead of upcoming assembly polls.
