Following the BJP’s victory in the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat, the party aims to win the upcoming bypoll in the Amarwara assembly segment on July 10, where their candidate had a lead of over 15,000 votes in the recent general elections. The Gondwana Gantantra Party also secured this seat once in 2003. The byelection was called after the resignation of three-time Congress MLA Kamlesh Shah, who joined the BJP.
