Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Asian markets showed mixed performance on Thursday as investors reacted to the Federal Reserve’s decision to maintain its key interest rate. The Nikkei 225 index in Japan saw a modest increase of 0.15%, while the broader Topix index experienced a slight decline of 0.56%. South Korea’s KOSPI surged by 1.46%, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index added 0.49%. These movements reflect investor sentiment following the Federal Reserve’s announcement, which projected only one interest rate cut for the year during the June 11-12 meeting. The markets also responded to the previous day’s record high in US stocks, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq both reaching new closing highs. However, gains were tempered by the Fed’s conservative stance. The S&P 500 gained 0.85% to close at 5,421.14, the Nasdaq Composite rose by 1.54%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.08%.
