Former Karnataka chief minister and BJP leader B S Yediyurappa is set to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Bengaluru today for an inquiry in connection with a case filed against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Posco) Act. Yediyurappa had previously stated that he would appear for the inquiry as scheduled, following an order from the High Court restraining the CID from arresting him. The case stems from a complaint by a woman alleging that Yediyurappa sexually assaulted her daughter on February 2, 2024, at his residence.
