Basic buy decision on fundamental aspects along with supportive technical trend builds conviction to take a bigger position at the start.
In the short run, markets were and will remain volatile due to prevailing uncertainty for some or other worldly events i.e prices mostly react to current sentiments instead of the economic fundamentals of the business.
When negative sentiments prevail for the overall market, prices of most stocks correct. In such a scenario, fall in the price of one’s holding shall not make one anxious.However, resilience and recovery in the price of the portfolio stocks after a strainful period validates one’s personal hypothesis – holding stocks that are fundamentally strong and in uptrend (liked by knowledgeable market participants). Such a validation acts as a golden chance to average up.
