Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has stated that the Mahayuti government is positive about finding a consensus solution to the reservation-related demands of the Marathas and Other Backward Classes (OBCs). This comes after activists Laxman Hake and Navnath Waghmare ended their hunger strike following a meeting with a government delegation. The government’s stand is that the Maratha community should receive reservation without affecting the existing OBC quota, aiming to avoid confrontation between the two groups.
