The Kushwaha community in Bihar, comprising 4.2% of the state population, is being targeted by both the ruling coalition and opposition parties ahead of the assembly election. The JDU has nominated Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha for the MLC seat, which was promised to the Rashtriya Lok Morcha. The BJP is willing to send Kushwaha to the Rajya Sabha, as there are two vacancies in Bihar.
