Indian shares ended nearly unchanged on Thursday, swinging from a higher open to succumbing to profit-booking along the way, as caution set in ahead of the quarterly earnings season. The S&P BSE Sensex closed 0.03% lower at 79,897, while the NSE Nifty50 index ended below the 24,350 level.
