In equity, I do not see any major changes. Until 2018, there was no tax on long-term equity. In 2018, they introduced a long-term capital gains tax at 10% with an exemption for ₹1 lakh, which I feel is a low limit. The 10% tax rate is already quite low, so abolishing it isn’t likely in the near future.
