Prashant Kishor, a political strategist turned activist, criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for failing to bring tangible benefits to the state despite his alliance with the BJP. He accused Kumar of prioritising ministerial berths over state development and industrial rehabilitation. Kishor launched the ‘Jan Suraaj’ campaign, set to become a political party on October 2, to contest the upcoming Bihar assembly polls independently. He aims to break the cycle of alliance politics in the state.
