Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Indian shares are poised to open higher on Wednesday, following a global rebound and easing U.S. recession fears. Asian markets, including Japan’s Nikkei 225 and South Korea’s KOSPI, posted gains as BOJ Deputy Governor Shinichi Uchida assured that interest rates will remain stable amid financial instability. Despite a brief gain of about 1.2% on Tuesday, Indian benchmarks Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex reversed their gains, each losing around 4% over the last three sessions. Realty stocks are expected to be in focus, with reports suggesting a potential amendment to long-term capital gains tax proposals. The amendment, which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present, might offer taxpayers the option to choose between 12.5% LTCG taxes without indexation or 20% LTCG with indexation for properties purchased before July 23, 2024.
