The Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia in corruption and money laundering cases related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam on Friday. Sisodia, who had been in custody for 17 months, was granted bail by a bench comprising Justices B R Gavai and K V Viswanathan. The court noted that the trial in the case had not yet commenced, depriving Sisodia of his right to a speedy trial.
