The Election Commission will soon announce the dates for the Haryana Assembly Elections. In 2019, BJP won 40 seats in the 90-seat Assembly but fell short of a majority. It formed a post-poll alliance with JJP and independent candidates. Manohar Lal Khattar became Chief Minister in 2019 but the BJP-JJP alliance broke before the Lok Sabha election in March. Khattar resigned and Nayab Singh Saini took charge.
