Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has granted sanction for prosecution against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment scandal. The Governor emphasized the need for a neutral investigation and expressed satisfaction that the allegations disclose the commission of offenses. The decision follows a petition filed by advocate-activist T J Abraham and a dispute with the Karnataka government over the Governor’s showcause notice to the Chief Minister.
