On Tuesday, the BJP declared nine candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha bypolls on September 3. Among the candidates are Union ministers and leaders who recently joined from other parties. Elections for 12 vacant seats in nine states will be held, triggered by some sitting members’ successful election to the Lok Sabha.
