I do agree on some points that you mentioned, but on most of the points i have a different view.
Air travel just like any hospitality sector is driven by customer satisfaction and price.
I am observing that AIX has a very competitive price with Indigo’s price, i also sometimes see Indigo’s price more than AIX for most of the major locations, also AIX has been maintaining punctuality.
Given the dissatisfaction customer is facing even after paying 14-15k for one way travel with Indigo, they would think twice switching to AIX which charges similar if not lower.
We can get away with customer emotions in the Railways travel since it costs pretty less.
Also it’s a human tendency when he/she is paying a high price, they expect satisfaction.
