Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized the West Bengal government’s handling of crimes against women following the rape-murder of a doctor in Kolkata. Singh emphasised that while the Centre has adopted strict measures, some states are not making sincere efforts. He also spoke on BJP-led initiatives like abolishing triple talaq and increasing women’s participation in armed forces.
