West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the state will cut ties with Damodar Valley Corporation due to the unilateral release of water, causing floods in south Bengal. She urged for immediate central funds to manage the flood’s devastation and highlighted the massive water release from Maithon and Panchet dams as the cause.
