Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has stepped down as chairperson of the Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment, Forests and Climate Change. He will be succeeded by Bhubaneswar Kalita of the BJP, who was previously a Congress member. Ramesh remains a member of the committee.
