I had starting direct stock investing in Nov 2020. Before that , I was investing through MFs.
Position Size:
As I was new to markets, I followed a very simple strategy. I had invested fixed amount (say Rs 10) in every stock. With time , i gained more confident and kept on increasing investment amount. If investment thesis and execution don’t match over 6-9 months, sell the stock.
Drawback :
- Even-though I found stocks at good entry point, corresponding gains were limited due to small position.
- number of stocks became large to track.
- Mental block to increase investment size.
