A special NIA court has charged Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi and three others under UAPA and IPC for their alleged role in the 2019 anti-CAA protests. They are accused of conspiracy and promoting enmity. The court rejected some suggested charges. All four are out on bail during the trial and plan to appeal the charges.
