The India VIX (Volatility) index up 12.22% to 27.06. Bharti Airtel and Coal India are among the gainers, whereas Vedanta, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Dr. Reddy’s, Axis Bank, Tata Motors and ICICI Bank are losing sheen on BSE. Out of 1,730 stocks traded on the NSE, 1,365 have declined and 135 have advanced.
