GNPA is still above the RBI requirement of 2% for 2 years. To reduce GNPA they would either have to do write-offs or grow the book. I am guessing they will be growing more in H2 as indicated by many banks, and MFIs that H2 should be normal for the entire lending industry.
But that means they cannot apply for the license now till at least Q2FY27, this assumes that in Q2 the GNPA reduces below 2%.
In the meantime Ujjivan and AU who are eligible for UBL should be applying this year, let us see if RBI grants them the license. If they do, they will have an advantage over Equitas and other SFBs for this period.

I am a CFA charterholder and I am currently running my own investment practice

from the perspective of gaining knowledge – CFA is a better option as you would gain in depth knowledge in various topics of finance and would be better equipped for a private equity role
however , Private equity is a very niche field and the people working in this industry like to employee people who have worked in consulting before or have completed MBA ( from top colleges) .

My suggestion would be to try to get in a good MBA college and join healthcare consulting. You can pursue CFA while you are studying / working

Given renewed push in infra, I am expecting the company to get more orders and have operational leverage. But, it is going to be a long journey as they have huge working capital requirement and low profit margins. Scaling is not going to be easy unless their bottom line improves. CFO has improved over last 3 years offering a glimmer of hope.

It is to be seen how they are using the cash infusion through FPO.
