Fwiw, it’s illegal for foreigners investors to own Chinese stocks. When you buy a Chinese stock, you are actually buying some off-shore company that has a complex contract with the real company in China to receive all of their profits, you aren’t buying the real Chinese company.

CCP can rip up that contract and send all foreign investors to $0 at any point if they wish.

Even if we did predict (its difficult to make money out of it) how market will react to it is not easy to gauge. We can only prepare, and take our shots by focusing on our behavior and the mode in which we want to manage our portfolios : passive / agressive / defensive.

The key trigger in the near-term is the contract with Qatar for gas supply renewal. The indications are that it will be at a lower rate from what the press is reporting. If that is so, I expect it can lead to a small degree of rerating. However, gas volume pick-up and higher utilization is what will drive a bigger rerating. There is a good chance of that happening, but it is hard to predict these things.

There are also some concerns about their recent announcement to expand into petrochemicals, but I think we have to wait for more clarity to emerge on that.

Now its quite clear that , Warren buffet, start a normal position and that position becomes big by market forces. He , himself doesnot concentrate.
My question was that, if this is so, why he advises retail investor to concentrate? He has nothing to gain to misguide us, lesser mortals? Or he is just trying to give his final recipe, without putting us into process to find it for ourselves? What am I missing here?
