The allure of stock returns could make one think beyond the objectives. It is hard to sell even one has a gut feeling, and when one is reasonably sure of growth because he has gained some experience in the market, selling a stock PF, even if it was created for goals, is more difficult. Easy to do this with MFs was my point, the returns will not surprise us, and one can have a separate stock PF, which can be managed any which way one deems fit.
Of course, these change from person to person, one can have a stock PF and can always sell the necessary portion of shares to get the corpus required.

Brookfield is currently obtainable at a more favorable price-to-book value ratio in comparison to Embassy. All though I used to hold both of them but exited Embassy from 300 (in June 2023) Levels After it hit 325 (in Dec.2023).

I would tend to agree with this view. Mr. Market is pessimistic about this stock similar to ITC, Coal India in 2021. If it gets de-rated to P/B of 2.0-2.5, it would be still a good buy and can generate decent 14-15% returns from that level.

May I know the significance of the investment by MIT in GLS? Investing in equities seems to be a regular income generation activity for MIT and they do invest in a wide variety of companies. So, wondering how different it is from any other FPI
