The HS Portfolio (15-01-2024)
@Mudit.Kushalvardhan @ChaitanyaC would love your viewpoints on below
Two Small Points from Corp Governance Viewpoints before Investing,
I have always operated on belief as retail investors- if i can put it bluntly- (We know shit about what’s really going on). So, it’s always pray that there are few cockroaches and other rodents inside the companies we invest in.
(Zero is an impossibility in Indian Operations due to reasons everyone knows- (Cash is neccesity to survive indian politics and the babudom whether you are small or large. Instituional owned or Promoter Owned). This is especially true in RE/ Infra and Ventures that are B2G related.
- So here there will always be some portion of income/expenses converted to cash in promoter related entities.
- In this scenario: It becomes a corp governance issue when this goes beyond for enrichment of promoter group rather than necessity.

Small Update, making a habit to keep record
Sold out Delta Corp as this was a pure speculation bet for me and as results are out GST effect was seen in numbers as well. Q3 being the strongest other quarters could be more bad I guess. Foray into real estate could turn out fine but I personally do not like real estate. Will Govt roll back 28% GST completely I don’t think so, promoters commentary doesn’t suggest as well. They seem to be negative on gambling going forward. Sold with no profit or loss after holding for 3 odd months. Some cash wont hurt
Currently looking for some options to add, PIIND came in radar but not pulling trigger anytime soon
Smallcap momentum portfolio (15-01-2024)
Yes I did notice. Apar is now at it’s 6 month support. Fundamentally it’s a great company and might go through time correction, or the Polycab saga correction.

Vaibhav Global ~ Vertically integrated value e-tailer of Jewellery and Lifestyle Products (15-01-2024)
Can anyone please throw some light on how to comprehend the valuation of the company. I understand that the seasonality angle, the deleveraging part and the growth. I also had the opportunity to visit the plant and meet the management recently and found the management quite clear in where they aspire the company to be. I also have no doubt in their execution capabilities looking at their post GFC revival story. It’s just that I am not able to understand how to value a company with this current valuation. Assumption: With a topline growth of 25% growth and 12% ebitda margins. Would the company still be just to be valued at this valuation. Kindly share your thoughts.
