Nithin’s Portfolio (12-01-2024)
Agree with the thought .
I had taken an initial smll position in Amara Raja for the same ( which now i sold off for small gains) with the same thoughtd.
However, whne scratching the surface , i realised/ interpreted that there is a long way to actually arrive at tangible outputs as the players maybe subject to intense competition amidst their own capabilities juxtaposed with midway challenges in form of upcoming research which may sway the flavour in batteries which would get adopted by the time thier plants are commissioned.
Secondly, there seems to be this race between the cleaner energy fuel types in terms of green hydrogen, EV or ethanol based fuels; ie which ones would hit the trigger faster( given research is on all such directions) .
Agreed as of now EV is the theme dominant, but as globally sales of EV seem to be getting impacted as per recent reports, i feel this also is a consideration.
I dunno if what i wrote makes sense , but thought of putting it for review to learn about the topic.
Hitesh portfolio (12-01-2024)
This helps i was just thinking about this . Last 2 years i did play capital goods and railway theme well made multibagger returns. But allocation was reateicted to high single digit with 1/2 stock
Having a relatively high exposure while wind is in favour may help the portfolio move better.
No regrets happy with the journey & learning
Thanks for guidance

Zee Learn: Asset light model & operating leverage (12-01-2024)
I am thinking aloud here and I am a novice investor so feel free to correct me.
There are a few concerns on this counter
- Inexplicable fall in Revenues after Covid (2020) : I searched internet and I could not pin-point the reaso n for failing revenues and operating profit. Could it be plain mis-management ? If it’s mis-management then it can be fixed but if it’s a structure kind of issue (i.e. ppl don’t prefer Zee schools anymore) then the recovery will take more.
- NCLT admitting pleas by various banks regarding debt restructuring : On this front, there are a lot of confusing news. Last year, Zee Learn said that they have settled their debt with Yes Bank and Indusind bank (Apparently the banks have take a hair cut). However, a few days back there’s a news that NCLT has admitted a plea by Yes Bank. Apparently, FY23-24 balance sheet mentions other income of (-408).
In my limited understanding, if NCLT sells assets of Zee Learn then it’s a bad omen for investors. Instead, if Zee Learn works out debt restructuring then it’s super good.
This is a case of very high potential and very risky bet. I’ll appreciate if any wise person can guide further.
