Not to forget that the business hasn’t been generating profits but the valuation is 3/4 times market cap to sales. Should a business that is unlikely to grow 20/25% consistently for the next 2-3 years be valued so high? Imo, it shouldn’t sustain unless growth kicks in

I think there is still some opportunity left in this script.
FY25 could be very big, distillery segment itself can generate 1700-1800 Cr revenue.
Margins may improve from Q3FY24 onwards due to new crops and increase in the ethanol price, with avg margins of 10% on very conservative side FY25 PAT should be > 2X FY23 PAT.
In between any FCI rice release would be a great advantage, Govt is supporting the ethanol producers by increasing the price if there is any inflation in the RM, so this final product price risk can be mitigated with some lag

@royatirek Thanks for answering, it was quite insightful, cleared my doubts. I actually went through this whole thread today and it was a delight to read. About your track record of going wrong, I did read about your investment in Amplitude, we all make mistakes and learn from them, your research was still very detailed and we don’t need to be correct 100% of the time to make money in stocks. You had also written above that you were trying to test the strategy of screening and picking stocks where mutual funds are increasing their holdings (after your own research too obviously), how has that fared so far ? I also thought of doing the same at one point of time but was not able to enter and exit timely. Also, if possible can you disclose the tool to find such stocks?
