If i have full conviction in any particular stock and have bought it at fairly valuation I mainly give it maximum 3 years. But if any major problem arises in managment i sell it before this period. stock can be stagnant for few months even when bought at reasonable price but you have to be patient in this regard to reap the future benefit. Too much changing trains can also delay your journey.

NPST – Technology Provider for UPI Tech (26-11-2023)
As per the Q2 concall:
As part of this ecosystem, it is mandatory that we should be having a PSP application in market. So, it was a mandate piece due to which we actually brought that application in market. We never promoted.
We never pushed it, because our focus was always this API business, the merchant business.
So, right now, the app is at a CUG stage. So, you may not find much traction. Neither the organization is talking a lot about it. So, when we have a plan, when we have a concrete way ahead, that is the only time when we will push it further. And you will come to know about it.

Smallcap momentum portfolio (26-11-2023)
@Garuna I have come across several discussions to compare different selection criteria but people have said price change is the best. I have added low volatility to price change.
According to experts any metric or parameter added to price change actually tones down the return.
To summarise, price change only is sufficient. This low volatility factor that I have added might reduce my returns but gives me stable stocks.
Smallcap momentum portfolio (26-11-2023)
Hello
I will be happy to update this every weekend with the clear understanding that this is for educational purposes only where I am sharing my experience. The returns are significantly over 40% and even with the fees, the returns are superior.
- Typically 2 to 3 stocks go out. For example, this week there is no exit or entry. Though there is a new entrant, there is no vacancy as the weaker stock is still within my outer limit of 25.
- I have created a Google sheet to pull price data for every day. I use this to calculate price change and standard deviation of daily changes. I do this update during the weekend only.
- Will see if I can get this info. If this is available, will update.
Strategy:
- I have 3 momentum pls running on Midcap150 index, Smallcap250 index and Microcap250 index. Based on various reading material and videos, most people have chosen look back periods of 6 months and 1 year. We can have shorter periods also as long as we do it consistently.
- A small % as I have been doing this over 1 year only. Till now, I have been studying fundamentals. Was not very successful as I found exits very difficult to execute. With his rule based investing, I have peace of mind now.
- No stop losses. Exit at the end of the week only. As I do rebalance every week, even if there are losses, I exit very quickly. In the midcap momentum portfolio, I do rebalance once in a fortnight only (not weekly).

Whats common between Pricol, varroc eng and Motherson???
Pricol divested their foreign subsidiaries which were loss making-
Pricol Espana S.L., Pricol Wiping Systems Czech s.r.o and Pricol Wiping Systems Mexico S.A. de C.V
Varroc Eng divested their foreign subsidiaries – 4 wheeler lighting operations in US and Europe which were loss making
Motherson carved out their india wiring harness business which has 40% ROE leaving behind international business with single digit roe and margins
All three created value by correcting their poor capital allocation in the past
Suprajit is doing exactly opposite- they are buying foreign assets and I am already scared
Having said that there are two fundamental differences according to me between Suprajit’s foreign operations viz a viz others which i will explain in next posts on some other day
