Natco Pharma: Focusing On Complex Products (22-11-2023)
totally agree with @Rocky_Chow on revlimid opportunity.
From Colgene (Innovator of revlimid) settlement
Natco will receive a volume-limited license to sell generic lenalidomide in the United States commencing in March 2022. The volume limit is expected to be a mid-single-digit percentage during the first full year of entry. The volume limitation is expected to increase gradually each 12 months until March of 2025, and is not expected to exceed one-third of the total lenalidomide capsules dispensed in the U.S. in the final year of the volume-limited license under this agreement.
I did some guess work to predict just to compare it with future numbers

from March 2023 to Feb 24 – 12%. – 1500cr – 1600cr
from March 2024 to Feb 25 – 24%. – 3000+cr
from March 2025 to Jan 26 (Patent expiry) – 33 % 4000cr

Omkar’s Portfolio Analysis and Discussion (22-11-2023)
My views on Asset Allocation
I believe there are two types of asset allocation – 1) Tactical asset allocation and 2) strategic asset allocation
Tactical asset allocation is used to diversify outside of equity asset class to manage volatility in returns while investor is on her long term journey. Each person is unique and has different tolerance to volatility. Investor usually get to know about her ‘accurate’ risk profile only in bear market
Strategic allocation is goal based. If financial goal is less than 3 year away then it doesn’t make much sense to invest in equity. Also, as one approaches closer to a goal which was attached to equity investment, one would like move away from equity to debt.
Personally for me, i am focussing more and more to improve my tolerance to volatility and thereby i dont have any tactical asset allocation. ( i know someone who saw 2008 must be nodding her head reading this but as I keep saying ‘Dil hai ki manta nahi’ ). I have 100% allocation to equity. I am hoping that risk tolerance will improve every passing cycle ( if I somehow survive ) and thereby improving allocation towards smallcaps
Strategic asset allocation is non negotiable. I will have to move some part to debt as I reach closer to any of the financial goal
Mutual Fund specific to Foreign Giants (22-11-2023)
Point 1
Please look into the taxes on those mutual fund exposed to the foreign stocks.
According to the new rules that come into effect from April 1, mutual funds with less than 35% investment in equities will be taxed short-term capital gains (STCG) based on income tax slab levels, similar to how bank fixed deposits are taxed.
Point 2
If you are applying directly through indmoney or vested, there are compliances. Major compliances are 1. Filing ITR 3 every year till you hold foreign assets
2. For any individual having income relating to a foreign asset or having a financial interest in any foreign entity, then, in that case, such related documents must be kept for 17 years from the end of the relevant financial years. In normal case it has been reduced to 3 years.(Ref 1)

Kitex Garments Limited (22-11-2023)
To the best of my understanding Kitex do not have any direct wholesale or retail presence in India(dont think they sell anywhere in Asia as well other than if any of the brands they sell to decide to sell it in Asia – Koala Babys use to sell Kitex manufactured products via the Toys”R”Us stores even in Bangalore).
Primary market they cater to is the USA, followed by Europe and have limited presence in Australia.
My understanding is that Kitex with its current business model do not compete with companies that cater to Indian/ Asian kids wear market.
