COSMIC CRF LIMITED – sme (30-10-2023)
See what I know is-
AV Birla’s father’s company was Cosmic Ferro Alloys – which went to NCLT due to some reasons unknown to us.
AV Birla now has taken only the CRF unit of Cosmic Ferro Alloys from NCLT.
The company actually got listed at a high valuation (according to me) – If we see the last year results and this high valuation will only get justified when the H1 FY24 results will be posted (which as per the management guidance can reach double of the previous year)
CDSL – Stock for our children (30-10-2023)
Govt asks all private companies to demat shares by September 2024
The move to demat private company shares is seen boosting the business prospects of the country’s two depositories — Central Depository Services (CDSL) and National Securities Depository (NSDL).
This could perhaps mean that 470 company addition record this quarter may even be exceeded again a few times by end of 2024.

I have 270 shares of refex at 671, down by 16% today…any suggestions. I can’t find any substantial information on its corporate governance or leaders! Any suggestions/ advise would be appreciated!

The company is faring well. But every quarter promoters are selling. The number of shareholders have gone up from 23k to 27k.
I had exited and have no position.
I am looking for opportunity to re-enter but continuous promoter selling (distribution) is a concern. Also, no Institutional buying.
Cupid Ltd – Helping the world play safe! (30-10-2023)
Building a retail business requires heavy investments in brand building, advertisement & promotion and distribution channels. It is natural to assume Mr. Garg unwilling to commit such investments that will take 10-20-30 years to fructify. It would be easy for him to rationalize his actions (or inaction, in this case) by pointing to lower margins. But Aditya Halwasiya is 29 and will have no such qualms. Markets value retail businesses more highly than others, and for a good reason. Mr. Garg’s reasoning was good for him, but for Cupid to realize its full potential, what lies ahead may be better. At least that is what the price action so far seems to indicate.
