Mutual fund investment in india are growing year by year! Is it a big growth driver from CDSL? I know we can hold our MF holdings in dmat where CDSL can benefit, but what about the MF investments through MF house way? Even MF houses need to buy and store shares in depository right? So can we say that the growth in MF investments in india is a bull case scenario for CDSL?

I think there is an increasing trend of ensuring that the ‘cost of life’ is important – whether it is ensuring safety compliances are in order or workers are thoroughly insured – either through ESI or private general insurers. I see this as a proxy play on manufacturing alongside increasing push of compliances for safety norms.

You will come to know that from individual companies’ annual reports only. There is no such screener yet developed which can screen as per geographies served. Moreover, this is dynamic situation. Some companies get some orders from some countries, and may be they are just one time orders. Also even if a company is overspread in a particular geography, they are well versed to counteract such situations and if quality of company is good, they will come out as winner. So from risk point of view, if your original selection of companies is top notch, then you need not worry about such situations. Good management will come out successful.

Maybe because all institutional investors are currently seeing small caps as overvalued and to be honest they somewhere are but not as bad as they are making it look. Growth lies ahead and numbers are enough evidence. What I feel went wrong is the timing to raise funds and a high floor price, these guys are trying to raise funds when institutional investors plan on selling their existing holdings.
