52 week highs and all time highs strategy (27-07-2022)
Fluorochem has posted very strong numbers today for q1 fy 23. Stock price had made a swing high of 3498 and is often the case, there was profit booking even on good numbers. The previous major swing high of 3200 should be watched for support going ahead. Today’s low was just below 3200 till now.

Usha Martin after hitting its all time high of 165 in April 22 went down during the market meltdown and took support near its 200 dema at around 100. Since then it has rallied recently and broken out of a cup and handle pattern above swing high of 141. Since past couple of days, it has been testing the 141 levels and managing to stay above that level. If pattern plays out successfully, then near term targets can be 180. (disc: invested since long time. bought more recently)

PPFAS bought at a lower price and as long as the long term thesis is still intact they won’t sell. They bought Hero motocorp at the end of 2019 auto down cycle. they still hold it.
Disclosure: No holding. Though admire the business model.

One needs to be careful while drawing conclusions from this data:
- Are you sure the company uses only Mumbai port and not any other port in India
- This is import data (not export data). Which means this would some portion of raw material imports. If company has high inventory of raw materials end FY22, why would they import more in current quarter.
- See PPT https://www.fazethree.com/wp-content/files/FTL_Company_Presentation_2122Q4.pdf. The company did have higher inventory days end of March 22
Let us wait for results before drawing conclusions!

A layman’s question !
Yet to understand how a company having profit of 400 crores can have a market cap of near to 13k croes ?
Do we see a huge runway ahead e.g. company growing at 50 % per annum for many years to come or something else !

Thanks a lot for providing clarity. I too had the same impression that IEX price value is dropping due to HPX, as there will be competition and thereby IEX’s monopoly will get reduced.
