Because the business gets threatened when gold prices fall.
Fundamental speaking the business is rock solid.
Their NIM are a double digit, on a secured book. That is absolutely unheard of in the lending space.
Corporate Governance is great, no red flags there.
Just a little headwinds due to FED rate hikes, but that will soon be past.

Why does Muthoot Finance trade at such low PE? 10 years median is 11.5, and 5 years median is 13.
HDFC Asset Management Company (26-07-2022)
There is a marginal increase in the market share on a closing AUM basis across all major categories – Total AUM, Equity, Debt, Liquid etc. Perhaps HDFC MF portfolios fell lesser than overall market. Perhaps it’s a bit early but hopefully they start increasing the AAUM market share.
Btw, from ICICI bank Q1 investor presentation, I could see the net profit of ICICI AMC is around 303 crores or so. Slightly less than that of HDFC but ICICI’s AAUM is almost 50,000 crores more than that of HDFC
IDFC First Bank Limited (26-07-2022)
Interest rates in savings account were always calculated on progressive basis. So nothing new, infact the rates have increased, so a SA customer is now slightly better off as compared to few months ago. And compared to other banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis, SBI, IDFC’s rates are higher. So again, a customer is better off with IDFC First Bank.

Yes. Thats my point. Just because somebody said something, dont directly take the decision of buy and sell. Anybody can say anything, including me. You need to dig deeper into the company, see if it makes sense to invest in it and then go ahead.
Also since I am invested in HCL and TCS , LTI and Infosys, if you study any of them, let me know your study and whats your views on them.

I am no accounting student. Can someone please explain what investor has to do if they intend to keep their invested amount the same? Or will it become the same after August 8th? Currently my holding is way off from what it was couple of days ago. Is this some real loss or notional loss which will be gone once the ex date is gone.
