Chinese government scrapping one child policy would have shrunk the global condom market by quite a bit. There may not be any direct impact on companies like Cupid but I think condom suppliers would become more competitive now.

Evaluating investments in Flex Foods Lts (01-11-2015)
I was recently considering investing in Flex Foods Ltd. The company is part of Uflex group engaged in producing flexible packing products. Flex Foods as a company is engaged in dried products which are sold into international markets mainly, USA, Europe. Some quick numbers,
P/E ratio of the company is 9.57 FY 15 earnings
Sales has grown @ 16% CAGR since 2011
EBITDA Margins @ 26.5% is very impressive
The ROCE looks decent too and the company has very low debt
I am still looking at the market size for frozen foods in the US markets, competition for this company etc. but any thoughts on the same would be helpfu

Yes, you are correct in that. They have fixed realizations per litre of chemicals they sell. The contract protects them from forex fluctuation and crude price/raw material price impact. Infact, if you think about it the margins will slightly expand when crude price go down and vice versa (which is exactly what has happened in last few quarters).
See Pg. 7 of this note to verify about the contract terms >> http://www.hdfcsec.com/Research/ResearchDetails.aspx?report_id=3008142
Only problem is disclosure. It is difficult to determine if the volume has gone up or down since they don't keep concalls since last 1 year, nor they release any presentation. Only annual report will clarify that hopefully.
On board point, I think this happens with all the companies. Board members are generally from other firms and sometimes totally different industry (Eg. Mr. KV Kamath from ICICI was board member of Infosys). And such closely held companies tend to nominate board members from their family members (which is not so positive but can't avoid with such firms).

Skipper Ltd., distributing Power and Water, Is it a moat in making? (01-11-2015)
Not much key take aways from AGM Minutes but one thing which I liked is the attendance of the management team. This shows seriousness of the event for a small Company. I have worked with a Company where one or two management representative used to go for AGM and other never bothered about AGM. Good Signs
