K-12 schooling is highly regulated and no profit making entity is allowed to run K-12 school. Present promoters enter into the segment through circuitous route of management contracts and advances paid to schools. The decision was not correct in my view. In the latest filing promoters have specifically stated that they will not invest in any new venture in K-12 segment. This is the best that has come out today from the management. It amounts to accepting mistake by management.
Pre-school segment is profitable segment. It is good that management is leaving asset heavy K-12 segment. Losses are not very high- not even one year EBITA. Once this segment is exited, ROI shall increase. Further company shall have more surplus to expand more aggressively in pre-school segment.
(Disc: I am invested in the company for last 2 years. I added more recently.)

Kellton Tech – Fast growing IT guy in ISMAC space (01-12-2015)
I tried to dig a little into their past work. I see that they have something to showcase in the field of Web, Content Management and Mobile development. I see that most of the management is from Tekriti (http://www.tekritisoftware.com) which got acquired by Kellton in 2011. I am still trying to see what are their capabilities in the field of Analytics, Cloud and IoT which they claim to be having. They may still be able to do well with their past experience in the field of Mobility and Web development and with e-commerce still in its nascent stage.
Socially Responsible Investing? (01-12-2015)
Sectors mentioned may not be so ethical
pharma : some drugs are habit forming. proper due diligence not done before launches. bribing doctors for prescribing, etc
lending : unethical in many religions
credit rating : its like abhimanyu’s chakravyu. i have had a company rated from x , and when i wanted to move to y which was quoting much lower, the process is very very painful
so on and so forth.

Hi,
This is very sensitive topic. If it comes to ethics, then one should not invest in any companies which harms the environment(air, water, soil, animal and trees). The exclude lists will be lot not a few what is mentioned.
