Dear Prashant,
about pledging of promoter's shares - Would you like to elaborate pledging for personal reasons? Doesn't this mean that promoters are not interested in their stock itself?

There are few ways through which we can moderate the forum or make VP a better place.
In this way:
a. The risk of loosing reputation points will discourage the member to submit inappropriate comments, stocks etc
b.The accumulation of points will serve as an appreciation from fellow investors and as a representative of their progress as an investor.
Now let say you are denied membership from the forum, still you can read all the topics.
Also in teambhp has a rule about the comments or the post which is submitted into a forum like It cannot be one liner etc. (sorry don't have complete list right now)
In this way
a. Moderators can control the quality of members of the forum. This control will decrease the possibility of unhealthy comments and self promoting guys. (I assure you filling that questionnaire is quite a pain in itself, but rewards are worth)
Manoj,
For me long term bets have to have a fair amount of predictability and that is what I find lacking in business of Omkar. From whatever I have read about the company I find that it is just a commodity business having a good time. I wouldnt compare it with the likes of great pharma companies like ajanta, torrent, alembic, shilpa or other businesses I own like the HFCs.
I am not too impressed by the oft used word PATENT which is bandied about by Indian firms. The kind of patents Omkar boasts about are in effect just process patents and nothing much to brag about. If patents dont convert into higher sales and profits for the company it is no use.
The good thing I find about Omkar is decent management, and benefits of expansion which could keep the growth going for a couple of years or more.
Key monitorables include debt situation and working capital management.
Hi @hitesh2710,
Wondering why omkar is just a opportunistic bet, but not a core or emerging portfolio pick ? You know everything about this company. Just putting down my understanding here ... I see IP led growth in this company and they are continuously coming up with novel process (which they eventually patent it) to cut production cost of intermediates and get new orders from pharma companies. They are progressing good in Vet API segment as well. Only drag could be their commodity iodine business. CRISIL is continuously monitoring this company and the latest fair value of Omkr given by them is 220+. Given the expansion is also kicking in and aggressive play by technically sound father & son, shouldn't we bet on this for next 3 years at least ? Of course, with regular quarterly results monitoring.
Have now more clarity.
I simply wanted to invest some part of my new investment in safer stocks and this time, I believe, is right time
Recently management has decided to do the Capex and the management has said that because of the incremental capex, year end utilization would be around 82-85%. They are expecting cash flow of 150-200 cr this year and their increase in debt would be around 250 cr this year (380 cr Capex), which will help them generating 220-250cr of cash flows next year. These all assumptions would be valid if growth in Indian economy accelerates.
One key thing we need to see is the amount of Capex company does in future because leasing businesses takes some time for break-even. So even if company does break-even in say 3 years (I need to check from balance sheet) they have to manage their capex such that they don't fall in the window of t-3 years where t is the year of slowdown.
Hi Guys
Just have a basic issue: if i have registered my profile in screener using an old email id, i cannot find an option to change my email id and update the same on screener profile to seek alerts...
Is there a way out?
