They have loads of data about the restaurants, and they will analyze all of this data and loan to worthy restaurants.
How many delivers a restaurant is delivering through Zomato, what items are these deliveries, cost of the items, margins on these items, are the deliveries increasing, are the high margin deliveries increasing, is there a seasonality element to the deliveries, are there any new restaurants opening up which are taking away some share of the existing restaurants which in turn has an impact on deliveries, who are ordering these deliveries, are they ordering from other restaurants too, and a few qualitative things can be added to, who owns these restaurants, what kind of name they have, do they have debt etc etc. Of course, this could fail and end as a cash burn.
Some thoughts, no investment, using their service.
Hi Mukesh,
was reading your old contribution on the thread. can you guide now that it seems huge transformer shortages are about to happen or happening already in the world.
I have some queries :
How much power transformer capacity is required to cater Indian renewable energy plan of 500 GW? do we have enough? which are the companies that have the most capacity and can built-up if required? TRIL seems to have good capacity of 4000 MVA but is it enough to cater the demand?
Companies like Shilchar have a lot of land bank to do brownfield expansion, how much time would it take to set new capacity and when typically the manufacturer decide to enhance the same?
I read the commentaries available from promoters through annual reports, concalls etc (esp. TRIL and Shilchar), it seems to me that the demand it growing very high but the promoter does not want to commit very high targets or numbers and decision to expand is also taken very prudently rather than aggressively.
what about tech improvements in the industry? can AI or any digital tech disrupt the whole industry? what is the possibility?
What are smart transformers? A threat to traditional players like TRIL, Voltamp, Shilchar?
Where does BHEL stands in transformer business?
Please help clarify the above.
Credit growth has typically exceeded the GDP growth. If that continues and HDFC keeps its mkt share and mkt cap growth keeps pace with earnings growth which in turn keeps up with credit growth then 4.4% of GDP should increase going forward. I know a lot assumptions have been made but don’t think any of the assumptions are unreasonable
