As for textile there is significant chance of disruption due to robotic/ automation in developed world. They are building robotic sewing machines that work 24×365 and push out huge quantities of apparels. The low cost apparel manufacturing option may soon end.

Buying the pessimism: Trying to catch the bottom (28-01-2024)
As per Paris agreement GOI has not authorised any new coal driven power setup for a long time. The growth in coal based power is purely by stretching on existing capacities which can have limitations. Adani power has been acquiring old non efficient plants and trying to get them up and running as new coal based plants are not sanctioned anymore.
Control Print – Deserves attention? (28-01-2024)
Growth was slower this quarter, printer sales have come down as they are prioritizing customers who can give higher consumable business. Concall notes below
FY24Q3
- Printer base of 18,000+ (sold 630 printers in Q3 vs 814 in Q3FY23). Have been more selective about their customers, preferring those who give higher consumable business
- Main focus is on increasing sales, margins can fluctuate depending on SG&A expenses. Gross margins have been maintained in a range
- Market is very positive currently
- Revenue breakup: printers (16%), consumables (62%), spare parts (7%), service (14%)
- V-shapes: looking to reduce costing on a per sachet basis. Currently only pharma sector can afford this
- Life of a printer is 10-12 years

Best Agrolife – Think Big, Think Best! (28-01-2024)
Before q2 result stock was trading at Rs 1100 level now trading at Rs 785. As someone pointed out that receivables increased to 1012 cr and negative cash flow are red flags. Are these two factors so strong that stock will correct 30%? In last 2 months they acquire Kashmir Chemicals also which will increase top line by another 100 cr. I just want to know is there something else is cooking which a common investor is not aware?
A company with a ROCE of 34%, ROE of 45%, PE of 9, CAGR of 45% is beaten down so much that too in a mad bull run is unthinkable.
Appreciate any valuable input.
Kolte Patil Developers (28-01-2024)
Company sold a lot of premium projects (24k) which has caused a huge jump in realizations. Reported nos will be subdued until FY26, and management expects current projects to start getting recognized in FY27/28 when the real economics should be reflected on P&L statement. Concall notes below
