i have studied Imagica early but not done much research after they went bankrupt. But i avoided that company purely as it looked debt was way higher for them to manage. Just avoiding high levraged companies helped me avoid a disaster. But recenlty some one asked me it was cheap and on pure mathematics it was way expensive then Wonderla. You can check on Imgica thread. Adding new parks is not very simple so we need to see if new management has some exp in executing such projects. Wonderla has unique strenghts which makes it win. Please see parks business is not new there were so many water parks in each city so it how to execute.
short term stock can go anywhere so do your own research.

Do you think Imagicaa can be a threat to Wonderla? I believe currently it is fairly priced(Wonderla). And 2 more parks are in pipeline. I am holding the stock and planning to increase my exposure.
Thanks

Hi Larry Wink, Good to know that you find it useful. Nothing beats manually scanning your watchlist of stocks. One other shortcut is to look for stocks in high volume trade watchlist. In this we can scan those names which fit in the stage 2 breakout along with RS line pattern
Amit Porfolio XIRR 25 % 9 years (13-01-2024)
I started investing in 2013 but was small amounts compared to my capital but by 2016 I was putting a large amount of my savings into direct stocks. I have been reading business newspapers since i was in class 11th but in 2014 I found Warren Buffet’s letters and books and then I was spending all my free time reading and analyzing companies. I don’t feel bored and investing is my passion. I don’t care about the results XIRR etc but love the whole process. Investing in the end is very simple but not easy. You learn every day.
Mistakes are only known after 5 years and you keep making new ones. So in the 2017 bull run, i invested money in some cheap companies but the good thing was I had put small amounts like Poddar Housing and Sintex. so learned the lesson that useless business no matter how cheap you buy will give you zero even in the long term.
this is the problem in churning portfolio reinvestment risk if you end up in a company like Poddar or Yes Bank, your result will be very bad. anything multiplied by zero is Zero (even if you 100X).
It is easier to say what not to do than what is good.
for me, the protection of capital is my first job as 95% of my worth is in stocks. I will still make mistakes but should not be out of greed.
LUX INDUSTRIES – Can it Scale? (13-01-2024)
@Ankit_Agarwal1 as mentioned by you there were some rumours of separation between 2 promoters does such rumours still exist…its been more then a yr but nothing has been heard after that?
After been given clean chit by sebi on the insider case and now cotton prices stabilising or on a downward trajectory lux industries can be a stock to be kept on radar since it has all the negatives priced in and any positive news or positive result can take the stock price up.

Am not a deep learner, I study only at surface and if I feel the idea is worth it – then I do go for it.

Now lets understand what happened from 2009 till now

Why am saying all this?
1, If you know that we have a vey robust and a structured way of growth : tomorrow if anyone needs a loan – he/she can get it in minutes, by first giving their consent to the banks to authorize his/her aadhaar – get all details with respect to the credit score, credit profile etc etc and get loan approved immediate and loan amount transferred to Bank account.
UPI has revolutionized the way that we work
Now more and more countries are planning to adopt the UPI system.
Everyone is talking about the consumer discretionary spending and so on and so forth.
From what I learned so far
- How much digital are we?
- What digital platforms that enables all these elements?
- Consumer Discretionary spending true but what platform? – ecommerce, merchant or elsewhere
- Which payment interface?
- What technology enables these?
If I consider Starbucks or Bigbasket
- Will you go out for coffee or would you like to shop from home
- What is the win win for both these parties here? – Its the payment interface
If payment interface then which?
- UPI
- Card
- Cash
- Online Web
Who are the companies that helps these?
- CC Avenuve
- Razorpay
- JustPay
- Paytm
- Phonepe
- Google Pay
Which area of basket they target
- Large Enterprise
- Medium
- Small
- Micro
One thing to note : No matter which way you go, the payment aggregators will benefit either if you shop from Starbucks on a weekends or Bigbasket on weekdays.
The business is cyclical but the payment need not be.-

Power Finance Corporation Limited : Rare profit making PSU? (13-01-2024)
PFC had very good bull run … but seems for last couple of days failing to cross its new high… i m nt expecting it to cross just saying… the problem with Govt companies is that due to constant change of policies govt stocks were unable to perform in long term… and investors unable to hold for long terms… so the question is – now that its almost certain that election results are not going to make much difference… and hoping govt policies will be same/constant… will PFC going to grow for next few years… until the term end… any views…
