There is no absolute black and white in business or investing and opposite of a good idea can also be a good idea. Business owner and investor have the choice to move to places they are comfortable in.

That may be true, but they will be a target of central agencies for the time being and investors will suffer.

My capital and understanding is limited. I have made good profit in this stock and am having difficulty holding it during correction. So I sold it and moved funds to existing portfolio companies. There is no point in clinging to company and lose sleep over it. Plenty of opportunities will come.

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) (23-09-2022)

Few concerns -

  1. Other players entry - hence possibility of loosing market share
  2. Mostly short term contracts comes to IEX, long term are done in direct between producer/consumer.
  3. Possibility of state SEBs or Big power players (producer-consumer) to engage in direct contract bypassing energy exchanges
  4. Regulatory risks - margin may be forced to lower, more exchanges can be permitted by regulator
  5. Power being basic necessity items, political pressure (as it is good tool for distributing free of cost “REBRI” by parties) will drag down costs at all power chain - being an exchange may have to work on low commission. etc.

I am not worried if the Pe is in 50-150 range if the companies growth is better than its peers. For example, Olectra Greentech is trading at a very expensive valuation but there is a reason for this premium. Their quarterly delivery of electric buses has been factored in. So yes, if the earnings growth is strong, I don’t mind paying a premium price for a stock.

And why just Olectra Greentech or Tata Elexi, look at D-mart valuations, it’s PE has never been below 100, yet it’s a Multibagger stock at 120 PE.
