Read about them, read their interviews, watch their interviews, draw inferences from the words, phrases they use, their thought processes, their beliefs, their philosophies, their outlook etc. All of this does not necessarily reflect in the business always, but it will give some idea about the people who run the business. Qualitative, so subjective.

Why the selling pressure ? Is it purely QIP related?
Mudit’s Portfolio (Stage Analysis + Price Momentum) (09-09-2024)
They are institutions, so they cannot get in and out quickly, as we do. Not just because of their size, but also because they will do some analysis of the business. So a few weeks or months of consolidation may not matter to them, if they believe the relative long term story is intact. They may or may not take decisions based on single stocks, and may look to make return on the whole basket, in a period of time.
Can we do what they do, depends on the objective of our strategy. If we don’t mind higher taxes, brokerage and other charges, and are confident enough of our system to catch new trades, we can move in and out when we see momentum waning in our positions. One way to look if this works or not is to have some data of at least some period, to draw inferences. Do what we want to do, experience gains and losses, let some data come, let some time pass, analyze all of this, and change or let it continue as per the requirement.
One thing that can derail the entire process is the change in the market regime, if there is no conducive market, we may have to change our process, or experience frequent stop losses/drawdowns. It will take a lot of time and tinkering to come up with a system that can work in all kinds of environments, if it can be created, or create multiple systems for different environments.

ON a valuation (Not considering Sabu’s proposals) average profit for the last few years say 70 crore from current project and Sabu say’s 3000 crores from new plant say 200 crore profit. Round to 250 crore on a P/E of 5000 Crore Market cap? by forgetting sabu’s comment instead what he delivered in the recent past was by valuation.
EPL – Essential Packaging Company (09-09-2024)
there were two distinct plays for the business – 1) was increasing share of personal care and beyond (its gone up by 6-7% in the past 6 years) and 2) increasing share of recyclable tubes (which currently stands at 30%)
Within all of this, revenue growth has been low single digit despite moving to a higher ASP product (personal care + recyclable tubes) – point is at what number do these ‘newer’ initiatives make their mark on the P/L?
Top level Management (09-09-2024)
I read that one of the important aspects of a company is its top level management. But it’s very difficult to analyse the management as it is not a quantitative analysis but a qualitative one.Still, there may be some metrics which will give an idea about the management. What would be those?
I have watched some videos on YT and the main thing almost all videos are saying is about salary of top management and how aggressive the management is.Its easy to get details of the salary from the balance sheet. But, how to analyse the aggressiveness of the management?
I know its a vague topic and there is no any discrete answer for this question. But any input is appreciated.
Thanks
